How is this different from just having BIM?
BIM is the technology; Vista D360 is the review methodology we build on top. We turn drawings, mockups and renders into a navigable model and review it in sessions with the leads from each area, recording in minutes and on video what was decided and why.
Does it replace our technical team's review?
No, it speeds it up. The model doesn't make decisions: it removes the ambiguity so the committee can. When everyone is looking at the same space, the conflicts surface on their own.
Is it worth it if construction already started?
It helps, but it delivers far less. The Construction Industry Institute found that design changes, errors and omissions explain 79% of deviation costs — and that cost is avoided before building, not after.
What do you need to start?
The approved drawings for the disciplines you want to cross-check: architecture, structure and MEP. From there we build the model and schedule the review sessions.
How much does it actually save?
It depends on the project, so we don't quote a fixed figure. As an industry reference: McKinsey estimates rework consumes 5% to 15% of a project's cost, and the CII measured deviations at 12.4% of total installed cost in the projects it studied.
