3D video of a real estate project for social media: how to stop the scroll
The classic real estate project video has a familiar structure: the developer's logo, epic music, a slow aerial shot approaching the building, and two minutes later, finally, the interior. It works in the sales room, where the buyer is already sitting and watching. On social media it does not: two seconds in, they have kept scrolling.
A video for social media is a different piece, with different rules.

The first two seconds
The first frame decides whether the video gets watched. It has to be the most striking part of the project: the pool at sunset, the view from the terrace, the living room with light pouring in. No logos, no fade from black, no slow aerial shot. The logo goes at the end.
The rules of the format
- Vertical. That is how the phone is held. A cropped horizontal video loses half the image.
- Short. Fifteen to thirty seconds for ads; up to sixty for organic content.
- One idea per video. The kitchen, the view, the amenities. Not everything together.
- On-screen text. Most people watch without sound. One sentence per shot is enough.
- Movement. The camera always moves forward, turns or reveals something. A still shot invites scrolling on.
- A clear call to action. "Message us on WhatsApp" or "walk through the apartment", with the link at hand.
A series, not a video
Social media logic rewards frequency. Instead of one long video, a series of short pieces works better, each with its own star: the facade, the view from the tenth floor, the kitchen with two different finishes, the path of the sun across the living room, the pool. Each can be tested in ads, keeping the one that performs best.
This is where the production method makes the difference. If the project is built in a graphics engine like Unreal Engine, each new video is a new camera on the same model: no need to model or light again. And because the image is calculated in real time, it comes out vertical, square or horizontal without cropping.
Quality that holds up on the screen
On social media the video is watched on small but very sharp screens, next to very high-production content. That is why we apply artificial intelligence to improve the final quality of the videos that come out of the model, and use NVIDIA's image upscaling and frame generation technology so the camera movement is smooth.
From the video to the tour
The video attracts; it does not close. Its job is to take the buyer to the next step: messaging on WhatsApp or opening the apartment's 360° tour. We explain it in how to sell apartments over WhatsApp. To decide which asset to use at each stage, see renders, 360° or 3D video: which to use, and to see how we produce video, 3D architectural video.
